Kayley's Cheer
This is the video from Kayley's cheer competition in November. (i'm still working on getting the one from December) The very last stunt is the one they were disqualified for. Kayley is on the left in most of the video and when the 3 girls go up front she is in the middle.

WOW!
Okay, so i've blogged about how I found Facebook and that I highly recommend it. Well just this week i've hooked up (on Facebook) with friends from 5th grade and Jr. High. It's amazing. These people were some of my nearest and dearest friends. I also, thanks to my friend Dale from grade school, found a girl I went to high school with. Imagine my surprise when I looked up her address and found she lives about 1/2 a mile from me. The world gets smaller everyday. Eddie has found friends from high school and found out that he will be having his 20 year high school reunion this summer. Plus we have linked up with some of our dear friends in the area. It's great fun, very addicting but most of all very rewarding!!!!!!! In the next few months I plan on meeting up with these grade school friends for lunch. How cool is that?

Rose Parade Floats
Here we are at the Rosemont Pavilion in Pasadena. We were invited up so Mom could place 2 roses on the Donate Life float that will be in the Rose Parade. After she placed the flowers they gave us a tour of some of the floats they were decorating. It was awesome! The kids loved being up close and personal to this. In the picture of the fish you will see his eyebrows are made of kumquats and kidney beans. Grant's favorite was the City of Anaheim's float because of the Angels hats. They also have Cinderella's castle on it. There was also a dinosaur and my personal favorite the scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz. I don't think the pictures even do the floats justice. The floats are breathtaking and it smelled great in there as they started putting alot of the fresh flowers on the floats. Kayley's favorite part was getting to meet Manny on the Street from KIIS FM. He was nice enough to let us snap a bunch of pictures and he gave her a hat which he signed. Kayley thought it was pretty cool and immediately began sending out text messages to all her friends with the picture. And as you can see the news was there so Jacob took a picture so he could say he was part of the "news" that night. We had a great time.
Cheer
Here are the girls from Kayley's cheer squad. The team picture is missing 2 of the girls. In the one picture you will see the stunt the girls did that got them disqualified from the competition back in November. The good news is the team went to a competition in December at Cal State Dominguez Hills and took 1st place in 2 divisions so they are going to Nationals in Las Vegas February 4-9. So even though they were very disappointed in their disqualification in the end it turned out bitter sweet.
Christmas
Christmas came early as usual. We made the boys wait til 8am before we started down to open presents. In the pictures you'll see the kids in front of our tree and the other tree is Mom and Dad's. This year we had our usual 9 trees up and in the next week I will purchase # 10. I plan on taking us into double digits next year. Christmas was great. Lots of smiles and excitement and a few tears were shed. It was Mom and Dad's fault. For Christmas they got me a Mother's pendant that was made journey pendant style with the kids birth stones in it. It's exactly what I was goint to have made in the New Year. It's beautiful as it has an aquamarine (Kayley), Diamond (Grant) and Sapphire (Jacob) in it. I wear it all the time!! Though the best gift of all was just having them home and healthy for the holidays. That evening we enjoyed a nice Prime Rib (mom's request) dinner with Uncle Burt, Krista and Paige. It ended a truly wonderful day.
Christmas Eve
Christmas Eve was spent at Grandma Ginger and Grandpa Tim's. In the pictures you'll see Kayley and Maci sitting in the chair and Grant, Madison and Jacob on the ground. The tree was absolutely beautiful like always. Ginger made Grandma Hutt's fried chicken which was delicious as always. Eddie was a bit disappointed there were no Tom and Jerry's this year. Though I don't think anyone could make them the way Grandpa Hutt did. His always had quite the "kick" to them. We had a wonderful time opening presents and spending time together. It was a great night.

I've discovered Facebook. I've known it was there but after talking with a friend about it I joined. I've discovered people from high school, friends I see everyday and I just found a friend of mine that I went to school 5th-10th grade. It's pretty cool. I was warned that it can be very addicting. I'm still learning all there is to do on it, the different groups, etc. I finally convinced Eddie to join. He was somewhat reluctant saying oh you are on there it's enough. Well guess what now he's hooked to. He has found friends from his high school and is now finding out about his upcoming reunion. If you aren't on it I highly recommend joining. It's a ton better than my space, imo. You never know who you may find on there!!!!!
